SAS School Records

     Every former student of St. Anthony's Seminary can receive photo-copies of any and all materials contained in his official school record files. The information in each student's file will vary accordingly. It may include material such as personal data, report cards, school transcripts, progress reports, vocational questionaires etc. These confidential files are available to former students of Saint Anthony’s Seminary only.

     All official school records are stored in safekeeping at Mission Santa Barbara and are released  by either the Mission Guardian or the Provncial Archivist, both of whom are Franciscan friars in the Province of St. Barbara. The Mission Guardian and the Provincial Archivist are the only designated persons authorized by the Province at this time to release this information.

     For a $20 fee * you can obtain copies of your school records and other documents in your personal school record file by requesting this information in writing. Simply state your name, address, the year(s) you attended SAS, and the specifics of the request you are making (copies of school records, personal documents, or simply "everything in my file"). Sign and date your letter, enclose a check for $20 * payable to "Provincial Archives," and send your request to:

* Important Note
As of May 1, 2010, the Mission Guardian has initiated a policy of charging a fee for the service of retrieiving, copying and mailing SAS records. However, no one will be denied copies of his school records because of his inability to pay for them.  If you find yourself in this position, simply mention it in your request to the Mission Guardian. All information is private and confidential and will not be shared with anyone without the written consent of the person making the request.
